NEW TERRAIN: Lakes To Be Mapped | Environment
On Monday, the Iowa Department of Natural Resources announced they will undertake a statewide project mapping lakes.
The information collected will go to towards lake restoration projects and will offer anglers more detailed information.
The entire project is set to take 6 summers. This summer, mapping will be undertaken at Mariposa Lake in Jasper County. The other lakes are Clear Lake, Carter Lake, Brushy Creek Lake, Mariposa Lake in Jasper County, Blue Lake, Springbrook Lake and Volga Lake, if water levels are high enough.
