DRUG BUST: Five Arrested In Newton | News
Five people were arrested Monday after a drug bust at a Newton home.
The Mid-Iowa Narcotics Enforcement Drug Task Force along with the Jasper County Sheriff’s Emergency Response Team and the tactical team from the Newton Police Department executed a warrant at 1502 N. 2nd Avenue W. in Newton just after 10:00 p.m. Monday.
The warrant was executed after several complaints of drug activity and information about guns being used or displayed around the home were reported to authorities.
Methamphetamine, marijuana, prescription pills, and drug paraphernalia were found in the home by officers. A loaded handgun was also located.
Twenty-one-year-old Lance Jones was charged with possession of meth, three counts of possession of prescription medication, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Twenty-five-year-old Joshua Stubbe, 21-year-old Erin Abrams, and 31-year-old Megan Daniels were charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
Twenty-eight-year-old Joshua White was arrested after arriving at the home in possession of illegal narcotics. He is charged with possession of marijuana, passing contraband, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
